How to Decorate Your Workspace to Reinforce Your Brand

Glass graphics

Every surface in your office is a blank canvas, so don’t forget to think about windows, doors and glass partitions when you’re planning your branded décor. If you have large expanses of glass such as floor-to-ceiling windows, it’s a legal requirement to mark them for health and safety reasons (in other words, to stop people walking into them!) Why not take this as an opportunity to get creative and incorporate your branding into the window stickers? Your logo is a good place to start, but you might also want to use your motto or some words that reflect your company values.

Wall decals and floor stickers

Vinyl decals can transform an office space and keep your team inspired. If you’re an estate agent, why not go for floor-to-ceiling maps of your local area? This can be a great way to make your client meetings interactive and help people visualise where they could be living. Quirky stickers work well in gift shops and fashion outlets – these can be permanent or removable so you can refresh your look as often as you feel like. Floor stickers are also really effective in shops, cafes and bars, whether it’s arrows leading the way to the loo or even a poem or song lyrics.

Posters

Another way to jazz up the place while also reinforcing your brand is to decorate your workspace with posters. Maybe photos of exotic destinations keep your team in good spirits, or funny quotes and cartoons? Whatever you go for, make sure you’re consistent and use the same kinds of fonts, colours and layouts that you would use in your marketing materials. This way the décor won’t just look random, but like an extension of your company’s identity.

Colour scheme

Again, consistency is key here. If you’re a trendy café where everything is made from driftwood and the whole place is lit by bare bulbs and retro neon signs, it wouldn’t make sense to have rainbow striped walls – you’ll probably go for muted tones to really put the stylish accessories centre stage. The more closely you stick to your specific brand identity (rather than using a mixture of elements that don’t have a common thread) the more easily your customers will recognise and trust your product and services.
